Benoît C. De Cordier, M.D. was granted a license to practise Plastic Surgery in Belgium in 1997 and is a full member of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is, in addition, a fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum.
He was trained at the University of Ghent in Belgium by G. Matton, M.D., S. Monstrey, M.D., Ph.D. and H. Vermeersch, M.D.
He spent 1998 in South Africa where he complemented his training with a one-year fellowship in plastic, reconstructive and head and neck surgery at the University of the Orange Free State in Bloemfontein. Beginning 1999 he joined for another 4 months the Department of his formal training in plastic surgery at the University of Ghent in Belgium and went on furthering his training in the United States till July 2000 with a clinical fellowship in plastic, reconstructive and mainly aesthetic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Alabama.
Since August 2000 Benoît C. De Cordier, M.D. is in private practice in Ghent and Wetteren, both in Belgium. He is performing his surgery at the private hospital AZ Maria Middelares in Ghent, Belgium.
